Painter & Musician
Skeet has been an artist since the moment he was able to hold a pencil. Primarily self-taught he continues to look for new ways to grow in his preferred medium of oil. He has exhibited in the midwest and his work is part of private collections throughout the United States as well as in Scandinavia.
Skeet is also a musician and songwriter. He serves as the Director of Choral Music at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington, Kansas. He is part of a local band called Zebedee’s Blunder which plays an eclectic variety of acoustic music. He has three CDs available: two with the band the other is a solo project of mostly original material.
Even though he’s passionate about art and music he also enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and soul-mate; Mardon’ and their miniature dachshund; Liebshon.
Artist Statement
Painting, for me, is about sharing a moment of God's grace. It is about using what He has given me to somehow make the world around me a better place. I truly believe art should celebrate life.
There is a pathway we are all meant to follow. Some spend a life-time searching for it while others never find it. My prayer is that you find your bliss and make it a blessing for those who cross your path. As for me...I am a painter and a musician.
Blessings.
